TriageSpanish is a product of Medical Spanish for Nurses, operated by Patricia Ortega (sole proprietor, Spain). By creating an account or using TriageSpanish, you agree to these terms.

What TriageSpanish is — and isn’t

TriageSpanish is a language-practice tool for healthcare professionals and students to rehearse spoken medical Spanish with simulated patient scenarios. It is not a medical device, not clinical software, and not a substitute for a certified human interpreter in real patient care — see our AI Disclaimer for the full scope. You agree to use it only for language practice, never to communicate with, assess, or treat an actual patient.

TriageSpanish is intended for professional and adult use. You must be 18 or older to create an account.

Subscription, billing, and cancellation

Plans are $14.99/month or $99.99/year, billed after a 7-day free trial, through our payment provider, Paddle.com (Paddle acts as merchant of record — your card details go to Paddle, never to us). Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel first; we’ll always tell you the exact first-charge date before you start a trial. You can cancel at any time — see How to cancel — and cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

If you’re on the annual plan, Paddle (our payment provider) emails you a reminder before your subscription renews each year, with enough notice to cancel if you don’t want to continue — as required under California’s Automatic Renewal Law and similar rules where they apply. At checkout, subscribers in California also confirm they agree to the automatic renewal.

Your account

You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in link/account secure. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms (for example, sharing access to get around per-seat billing, or abusing the service). You can delete your own account at any time from Profile → Account.

AI-generated content and liability

Simulated patients, dialogue, and pronunciation scores are generated by AI and may be incorrect or incomplete — see the AI Disclaimer. TriageSpanish is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the extent allowed by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any dispute not resolved informally with us first (email support@triagespanish.com) is subject to the courts of Spain, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your own country of residence.
